Aryabhatta Knowledge University is a collegiate public state university located in Mithapur, Patna, Bihar, India. It was named after the Indian astronomer Aryabhatta. Apart from a few notable exceptions, It is recognised and approved by AICTE.

Darbhanga College of Engineering (DCE Darbhanga) is a government owned engineering college in Bihar, India, inaugurated by Nitish Kumar (Chief minister of Bihar) estd. in 2008. It is affiliated with the Bihar Engineering University, Patna and approved by the AICTE. The college is administered by Department of Science and Technology, Bihar. It was previously known as Jagannath Mishra Institute of Technology (JMIT). In 2008, it reopened with a new name, Darbhanga College of Engineering, under Lalit Narayan Mithila University (LNMU). In 2011, it became a member of the Aryabhatta Knowledge University. Later in 2023, after the establishment of Bihar’s own Engineering University, it got affiliated from Bihar Engineering University, Patna. The owners of this property were Late Sri Jyoti Prasad Singh Ji, landlord of Hariharpur Estate who constructed it in 1935. after the great earthquake of Bihar in 1934, this was reconstructed by M/s Bhambhri & Co. Ahmedabad and is an earthquake-proof construction.
Government Engineering College, Sheohar founded by Government of Bihar under “Saat Nischaya” with the motive of facilitating the contribution of youth towards economic and social betterment, through development of higher education and strengthening the supply side of skilled workers in the state. It was established in the year 2019 under Department of Science and Technology, Bihar. The Institute is affiliated with Bihar Engineering University, Patna and approved by All India Council for Technical Education.
The Incubation Centre (IC) at IIT Patna is a result of collaboration between the Government of India (47%) and the Government of Bihar (53%). This is an INR 47.10 Crore project associated with the MAKE IN INDIA initiative. The IC IITP is specifically focussed on incubating ventures in the Electronics Systems Design and Manufacturing (ESDM) and Medical Electronics. We provide world-class facilities for design, testing, prototyping and fabrication. The objective is to ensure that for ideas in medical electronics, the IC IITP is the place to turn the idea into reality It is a registered as IC IITP society under Society Act (Reg. No. 987, Year 2015-16).
